克莱尔谷, BURRA, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

克莱尔谷, Burra, South Australia获取方向

Fifteen kilometres east of Burra, Baldina Creek has cut a run of deep-red alluvial cliffs and permanent waterholes through the mallee country of the Mid North. Palaeontologists rank the area among the richest megafauna sites in Australia; diprotodons, thylacines and marsupial lions all left their bones here. The Landscapes of Change loop — five kilometres, about two hours on foot — threads along the cliffs and creek line, through woodland and threatened native grassland that still carry wombats, echidnas and kangaroos. Entry is free; dogs are not permitted.
