Tarella Cottage

蓝山, WENTWORTH FALLS, NEW SOUTH WALES

蓝山, Wentworth Falls, New South Wales获取方向

John McLaughlin, a Sydney solicitor and member of the Legislative Assembly, built Tarella in 1890 so his four children could escape the Sydney heat. The family held it for a century. Beryl McLaughlin left the house to the Blue Mountains Historical Society when she died in 1988, two months short of a hundred, and the rooms stand as the family kept them, down to the sewing room and a military room for Major Geoffrey McLaughlin, 1887 to 1917.
