An independent fixture of the Leura Mall, this bookshop leans hard into Australian and regional writing without becoming parochial. Dedicated tables gather Blue Mountains local authors, regional history and mountains-specific walking and travel guides; elsewhere the stock tracks the Miles Franklin and Women's Prize shortlists and keeps a considered children's and young-adult range with monthly staff picks. Author events are a regular part of the calendar rather than an occasional flourish, and hand-written staff recommendations do much of the steering. The shop is open seven days, its longer hours a nod to the weekend visitors who make Leura the busiest retail strip in the upper mountains. It is the kind of general bookseller - broad but curated, and rooted in its patch - that most towns have lost.
