Flotilla was the first restaurant in Newcastle to earn a Good Food Guide hat, and it did it from a small room on Albert Street in Wickham. The menu turns over every six weeks around what local growers are bringing in. Co-owner Eduardo Molina, who came up through some of California's best-regarded dining rooms, runs the floor, and the move is to let him steer the wine. Vecina, the bar next door, handles drinks and snacks.
