Sunrise balloon flights lift off from Pialligo on Canberra's eastern edge, drifting for 45 to 60 minutes above the capital's lakes, ranges and planned streets under CASA-approved pilots. The operator has flown here for more than 35 years and started the Canberra Balloon Spectacular in 1986, now among the country's largest balloon gatherings.
