Marine-scientist-guided whale-watch tours billed as the only ones departing directly from Byron Bay, run under the Turtle School banner and its Chelona Adventures & Research affiliation. Groups are kept to eight per trip, and passengers get to hold the hydrophone to listen in on the whales. The same crew also runs snorkelling at Nguthungulli Julian Rocks and a longer combined Turtle School workshop.
