Ten minutes inland from Devonport, on a family-run organic farm above the Forthside valley in Tasmania's central north, three off-grid cabins run on solar and battery power. Barnhaus takes a Scandinavian barn-house form with a French-inspired interior, a cottage garden at the door and open countryside views, sleeping two. It shares the eco-certified property with the architectural Arc Pavilion and a tiny house called Colonial Blue.
