Leaping Goat takes its name from Kaldi's legendary goats, said to have found coffee by leaping about after eating the cherries. The roaster has worked out of Quoiba, on the edge of Devonport, since 2014, roasting small batches on-site at a weekday café where you can watch the drum at work or book a roastery tour. The range runs to comfortable, dessert-leaning blends like Colombian Toffee and Velvet Jaffa alongside single origins, with light lunches and slices over the counter.
