Cracked AnvilForge

Wayne Schmidt is an artist blacksmith working near Ipswich, Queensland, with more than thirty years at the forge. He works only in traditional methods and historical equipment, forging custom knives and bespoke ironwork on request, including historically accurate museum replicas. It is a dual practice: Schmidt both makes commissioned pieces and teaches, counted among the region's oldest and most respected forges, and tailors classes from beginner through advanced. The knives are hand-forged rather than assembled, made in the older way and finished as both tools and objects.
