Savage CustomKnives

Shane Savage makes custom handmade knives from a workshop in West Ipswich, Queensland, positioning the work as fully artisan yet affordable. The bench turns out Japanese-style chef knives, Damascus blades, Serbian cleavers and hatchets, each made by hand. Alongside the making, Savage teaches widely, offering knifemaking, blacksmithing, stainless-steel, sharpening and welding classes across weekdays and weekends for all skill levels, and provides in-studio and mobile sharpening.
