Joel Amos started this natural wine business online because, in his words, the retailer he wanted to shop at didn't exist: a source for the young winemakers he was discovering with nowhere selling their bottles. Six years on, it has a physical home in what was once the games room of The George Hotel in Waterloo, stocked with more than 400 organic and natural wines from family-run wineries, priced from around $25, alongside a smaller range of beer and spirits. A reclaimed timber table pulled from the pub's old beer garden and refinished by Amos anchors the room, used for regular tastings and occasional dinners with chef Toby Wilson. Next door, the Taco King restaurant lets diners bring a DRNKS bottle to the table for a flat $20 corkage. Open seven days, 11am to 11pm on weeknights and Saturdays, 11am to 10pm Sundays. A well-grounded stop for Sydney's inner-south natural wine crowd.
