Fitzgerald RiverNational Park

오스트레일리아 골든 아웃백, WA

On the remote south coast between Bremer Bay and Hopetoun, Fitzgerald River is one of the most botanically rich places on earth, a biosphere reserve holding nearly a fifth of Western Australia's plant species, many found nowhere else. Rugged quartzite peaks - the Barrens - rise above a coast of white beaches and turquoise bays where southern right whales calve in winter. Wildflowers colour the heath through spring in extraordinary variety, and tracks lead to clifftop lookouts, summits and secluded coves. Wild, huge and little-visited, it is a park for those willing to travel for solitude and astonishing natural richness.
