Hope & Jane is Kirby Jane and Stephanie Hope, two women who cut and stitch leather goods from a home studio in Hobart. Kirby is a self-taught leatherworker, Steph her apprentice, and together they make belts, bags and accessories from Australian full-grain leather. Their standout is Second Stride, a collection that gives old saddles a second life, reworking retired saddle leather into cross-body bags, notebook covers and smaller pieces. They take custom orders and run leatherwork workshops.
