Wedged beside the railway line, this is Katoomba's default after-dark room: a loud, cheerful woodfired pizza bar that runs seven days until late while much of the town winds down early. The oven turns out both the classics and local-minded oddities, and the reason plant-based diners keep it on rotation is the breadth of the vegan handling. Most pizzas convert with house vegan cheese, and there is a clear run of meat-free builds, from roast pumpkin with macadamia pesto through to a straightforward margherita. Vegetarians get salads and vegetable pizzas without negotiation; vegans are catered for as a matter of course rather than as an afterthought. It is not a vegan venue, the menu also fields kangaroo and crocodile, but the plant-based side is real and well-trodden. Craft beer, a workable wine list, and a room that stays busy.
