Grapes are the drawcard at this Swan Valley pick-your-own operation, which opens each December as the season's varieties come ripe and runs through to March, alongside watermelons, rockmelons, nectarines and pears. Rather than a single fixed paddock, picking moves across a handful of blocks around Millendon, Herne Hill, Belhus and Baskerville as different rows ripen, so it's worth checking the farm's Facebook page before driving out. Entry is free; visitors bring their own box and scissors and pay by the kilo at the scales, with prices adjusting through the season as varieties change over. It sits within the Swan Valley's older tradition of table-grape growing, predating the region's newer identity as a wine and lifestyle destination, and gives visitors a chance to cut their own bunches rather than buy them pre-packed. A summer-only stop, best combined with a wider Swan Valley produce trail.
