On fifteen acres of World Heritage Daintree rainforest at Cape Tribulation, a ten-minute walk from the beach, Wildwood is an off-grid eco retreat running on solar and rainwater. Two handcrafted timber cabins, Black Bean and Black Palm, sit three metres from a freshwater creek with seasonal swimming holes; each has lofted ceilings, a queen bed, ensuite and screened verandah. A main house and adjoining garden apartment take larger groups, and the grounds hold a pool, an orchard of 800-plus rare fruit trees, and room to properly unplug.
