A Port Douglas institution whose pies have been baked in the family since the 1950s, with son Maurice giving the place its name in 1969. The Grant Street bakehouse turns out award-winning pies (kangaroo and crocodile among them), fresh bread, cakes and locally roasted coffee, open until it sells out.
