Air Kimberley flies scenic and charter routes across the Kimberley from its Broome International Airport terminal, and has done since 1992 — first as King Leopold Air, operating from a pastoral station near the ranges, and from 2020 under its current name, adopted when the ranges were renamed the Wunaamin Miliwundi. The fleet runs to a Cessna 208 Grand Caravan, a Piper Chieftain, a GA8 Airvan and three smaller Cessnas, which between them carry up to thirteen passengers and reach country no road does. The scenic flights cover Mitchell Falls, the Buccaneer Archipelago, the Horizontal Falls, the Bungle Bungles on Jaru and Gija Country, and Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, with wet-season and dry-season routings; the pilots double as guides. Charter work covers mining, film crews, researchers, and government clients. The business was inducted into the Broome Business Excellence Hall of Fame in 2023 and named WA Regional Business of the Year in 2024.
