A walk through Antarctic beech forest and subalpine meadows atop the Barrington Tops plateau north of Sydney. The ancient Gondwana rainforest here is World Heritage listed and contains trees that have survived since the time of the dinosaurs. Snow sometimes dusts the peaks in winter making it one of the few places in NSW where snow falls. The birdlife is exceptional with rare species including the rufous scrub-bird found in the dense undergrowth.
