Good ChatComedy Club

A working comedy club in the back room of the Caxton Street Brewing Company on the corner of Caxton Street and Petrie Terrace, on Yuggera and Turrbal Country. The pub is the host; Good Chat runs its own programming, ticketing and artist roster downstairs. Year-round comedy across about five nights a week — Wednesday Night Comedy, Friday's Hour of Power and Night show, Saturday Night Standup, the Sunday Setup — plus solo hours from the touring Australian comedy circuit (Greg Larsen, Justin Hamilton, Mel Buttle, David Quirk among recent bookings). The Gong Show on a Friday night runs the brutal heckle-format development room, and the Brat Pack annual competition runs heats through June for emerging Brisbane comedians. They also manage their own roster of Brisbane and interstate artists — Shad Wicka, Rhi Down, Nick Capper, Emma Zammit, Jack Knight among them. Shared kitchen and bar menu with the pub upstairs. Look for the logo projected on the footpath out front on show nights — the signage on the door is light.
