Peter and Cate Slattery bought this Bellarine farming property in 2000, drawn by its northern aspect and cooling bay breezes. They planted Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Zinfandel and Picolit, and built out a cellar door, restaurant, events centre and tram bar around the single-vineyard range. The views across the bay are the backdrop; the focaccia, apparently, is the sleeper hit.
