A 1917 art deco hall in Fortitude Valley that began as Adams Bakery, spent years storing the State Library's rare books, and has run as a live music room since 1989 — Brisbane's longest-running. The auditorium holds around 1,500 standing under a mezzanine, and the program runs international touring acts alongside Australian names. Brothers Steve and Dave Sleswick bought it in 2016 to keep it from developers who had the building earmarked for apartments.
