A 200-seat cinema in Castlemaine's 1857 Theatre Royal — first-run blockbusters, arthouse, foreign releases, retro nights, and Castlemaine Vintage and International Film Festival sessions, including current Australian Aboriginal cinema (Warwick Thornton's Wolfram). Open Tuesday to Sunday from 4pm. The same building runs music and live events, a bar, and a pizzeria with 72-hour-fermented sourdough pizzas cooked at 500°C on a stone floor.
