The Angaston Hotel opened 24 December 1846, making it the oldest pub in the Barossa Valley. Originally a single-storey building, it was extensively renovated in 1911 when the railway arrived, adding a second storey with accommodation. Today it operates as a front-bar pub with a la carte meals seven days a week, gaming machines, TAB, and upstairs rooms. The hotel adjoins Wanera Wine Bar and features a restored courtyard with stables.
