Spread across twenty acres of tropical rainforest on the edge of Lake Eacham National Park, this family-run place puts ten self-contained lodges among the trees an hour from Cairns. Each has a king bed, ensuite, full kitchen, recliners and a verandah facing the forest. Walking tracks lead off the property and a night viewing area draws possums, sugar gliders and striped possums, with platypus and abundant birdlife nearby. A pool and games room round it out.
