On the escarpment above the Bellinger Valley, Dorrigo is a jewel of the Gondwana Rainforests World Heritage area - a dense, dripping subtropical and warm-temperate rainforest alive with birds. The Skywalk pushes a boardwalk out over the canopy for a view across the treetops to the distant coast, and forest tracks descend to Crystal Shower and Tristania falls through a green world of strangler figs, tree ferns and lyrebirds. The rainforest centre at the edge makes an easy introduction for all comers. Cool, lush and richly alive, it is among the most accessible rainforest experiences in the country.
