Granite tors and box-ironbark forest rise from the plains twelve kilometres west of Inglewood, in country the Dja Dja Wurrung call Guyura, the mountain of light. Walking tracks thread among the boulders to the Melville Caves and out to lookouts over the surrounding bush. The park draws bushwalkers, rock climbers and birdwatchers, with a camping area near the caves and designated areas set aside for fossicking in the old golden-triangle goldfields.
