Peter Cumming's family winery has been running at Bridgewater on Loddon since 1970, reviving a region that lost its vines to disease a century earlier. The 100-plus hectares split deliberately by soil type — light and free-draining for whites, heavy clay for reds — with Shiraz the long-running signature, made continuously since 1974.
