Goondoon Street's main-drag dining has a standout in this espresso-and-wine bar, opened by a young local team and run as one room from morning coffee through to late-night wine. The daytime trade is breakfast and serious coffee; by evening it turns to a hand-picked wine list, cocktails and a charcuterie-led menu built for sharing. It has become the town's default for a considered drink or plate, consistently ranked at the top of Gladstone's casual dining on the review sites, in a port city where places of this sort are thin on the ground. The fit-out is contemporary and unfussy, the coffee is taken as seriously as the wine, and the kitchen leans to small plates rather than a full menu. Open seven days, and later on Friday and Saturday nights.
