The weekend run up the Federal Highway for sourdough and croissants is a Canberra habit, and this village bakehouse is why. Omar Muscat and Daniel Sparrow, the partners behind Doubleshot in Deakin, run it. Sparrow started out as a barista and now heads the baking. The pastries are made with Pepe Saya cultured butter, pies and sweets fill out the counter, and there's seating inside and out. Dogs welcome.
