A Melbourne-style brunch room that arrived on Bentinck Street when Portland had little like it, pouring single-origin coffee and running a contemporary all-day menu that Lonely Planet flagged as an early sign of the town's shift. Most of it is made in house: jalapeno corn fritters, crumpets cooked to order, sausage rolls, and daily lunch specials that usually run to a burger. The site opens to the street and out toward Portland Bay, filling with a mix of locals and travellers pausing between the harbour and the lighthouses. Open seven days from eight, it is a reliable morning anchor, unpretentious and competent, and a useful counterpoint to the specialty coffee bar a few blocks over.
