Peter Lucas works kitless out of Victoria, and his material list is the interesting part: Australian timbers and hand-cast resins, but also antler, snakeskin, reclaimed mother-of-pearl and Japanese chiyogami paper — patterned sheets more often used for bookbinding than pen barrels. He makes journals and stationery alongside the pens. Started at local markets, moved online through the COVID years, and still shows at the Melbourne pen show.
