Part of Andrew Cunningham's Tuggeranong Station before Richard Harris bought it in 1875, and the cottages Harris built are still standing. It has been a sheep paddock and a bus stopover since. Nobody agrees whether the name came from Margaret Harris's rose garden or from a schoolteacher called Miss Rose who lived here early on. Pub food, two function rooms, live music, closed Monday and Tuesday.
