Rough Diamond occupies a refurbished 1970s office building on Koroit Street — parquetry floors, minimal furniture, a grassy patio out the back where dogs are welcome. The menu is short on purpose, built around toasties on Jane Dough sourdough, and the supplier list carries the argument: Small Batch Roasting Co. for coffee, Schulz Organic Dairy for milk, Hunted + Gathered for chocolate. Espresso, filter and single origin, with guest roasters rotating through.
