Scott and Sarah Gledhill's blocks are among the highest in Murrumbateman — 620 metres, north-east facing, decomposed granite and gravel, close-planted to drive the roots down. The first vines went in in 1988. Scott is sixth-generation from German vinedressers who sailed out in 1855 to work at Porphyry in the Hunter, and the first Viognier is named for one of them. Cellar door by appointment.
