River red gums line the lower Goulburn as it winds downstream from Shepparton toward the Murray, and this linear park follows the corridor — narrow strips of riparian forest against open farmland, an important wildlife link between the Great Dividing Range and the Murray River. The Goulburn holds Heritage River status here. Dozens of camping areas sit on the river's bends and sandbars, and the slow water suits canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Access points include Reedy Swamp Road on Shepparton's northern edge.
