Mark runs small-group tours, capped at six, from a fleet of Hobie Pro Angler pedal kayaks around north-east Tasmania. On the water it is tournament-style lure fishing with a catch-and-release ethos, either on the sheltered Scamander River (famous for spawning black bream) or across the world-class flats of Georges Bay. On land he leads visitors to the closely guarded gem fields near Weldborough to fossick for sapphire, zircon, topaz and smoky quartz.
