Down on the south bank of the Kalang River, this long-running seafood room trades on its setting as much as its kitchen: open-air jetty tables sit almost on the water, with the tidal river and Urunga's boardwalk stretching out beyond. The menu leans into the coast, built around fresh local seafood and finished with the flavours of Southeast Asia, alongside more familiar bistro classics and a case of cakes and coffee for daytime visitors. Evenings are the draw here, with dinner served Thursday through Saturday from around 5.30pm, so it pays to book ahead in summer. It is an independent, family-run operation rather than a chain, and the emphasis stays on river views, unhurried service and produce pulled from the mid-north-coast waters just offshore.
