Built around a 300-year-old corkwood tree and opened in 1984, this is where the contemporary Aboriginal art movement of Central Australia is both housed and tested. The Albert Namatjira Gallery holds his original watercolours of the West MacDonnell Ranges. Each September, Desert Mob draws work from 30 remote arts centres across the NT, SA and WA.
