Jon Beinart founded the collective online in 2003, running it to 600-plus artists before opening this Brunswick gallery in 2016. The program leans into pop-surrealism and fantastic realism — think Johnson Tsang's illusionistic porcelain, Ronit Baranga's ceramic figures, Shaun Tan solo shows — with a deliberate mix of international names and Australian artists being pushed toward a global audience.
