A 1937 art deco hotel in the former mining village of Captains Flat, an hour southeast of Canberra. Originally housed the longest bar in the Southern Hemisphere at thirty-two metres. Closed during COVID, restored over twelve months by Tracey and Greg Durr from 2022, then bought in 2024 by Sharanne Witt — whose grandmother Peggy cooked there. Twenty-one rooms upstairs, no pokies, the original 1940s pub tiles intact. The TV adaptation of The Narrow Road to the Deep North filmed here.
