Port Macquarie sits far north of the state's main wine country, which makes Cassegrain an unusual proposition: a 500,000-bottle-a-year winery pulling fruit from across NSW, with chief winemaker Alex Cassegrain sourcing and blending to regional strength. The méthode traditionnelle sparkling program is the technical standout. Tastings and a restaurant are on-site.
