Garden ofWeaving

Cath, a horticulturalist-turned-fibre artist in Kalamunda, runs workshops from her one-acre Perth Hills garden, where participants first learn to identify and harvest local plant material — prunings, weeds, whatever the garden offers — before sitting down to weave. Basketry, she argues, is ancient knowledge at risk of being lost. The garden tour alone makes the afternoon.
