A working station stay at Old Ambalindum, 115km northeast of Alice Springs on the Binns Track, in the East MacDonnell Ranges. Pitch on the grassed campsite with fire pits and hot showers, or take one of five self-contained quarters made from the station's own buildings — the Cottage, the Gen Shed, the Horse Yards, the Bunkhouse, and a retro van-and-container pairing. Meals and drinks are served in the Workshop, a renovated Sydney Williams shed. Days run to gem fossicking and drives out to Mount George, and the place caters to groups and weddings too. Family-run.
