Jaam eJam Restaurant

SYDNEY, NSW

A traditional Persian restaurant in Hornsby, serving the cuisine of Iran across kababs, stews and rice dishes. Skewers of koobideh (minced lamb), joojeh (saffron- and lemon-marinated chicken), barg and lamb cutlets come on saffron rice with a BBQ tomato, alongside slow-cooked stews such as ghormeh sabzi, simmered over six hours, and fesenjan with walnut and pomegranate. Dizi, a lamb, chickpea and white bean stew, is served in a traditional stone crock. Starters run to yoghurt dips and Persian herb quiche, with saffron and pistachio ice cream and phaloodeh to finish.

On weekends, breakfast from 9am includes kaleh pacheh and halim. Licensed and BYO.
