Set in one of few working railway roundhouses in the Southern Hemisphere, this Junee institution opened in 1947 as a state-of-the-art steam locomotive facility. Half the building now houses the museum while the other half still services locomotives and rolling stock. Volunteers lead guided tours, though self-guided visits are welcome, and restoration of an old sleeping car continues on site.
