Karlkurla BushlandPark

AUSTRALIA'S GOLDEN OUTBACK, KALGOORLIE, WESTERN AUSTRALIA

On the outskirts of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, more than 200 hectares of native bushland give the Goldfields city its readiest way into the Great Western Woodlands. Walking trails loop through the scrub to a lookout with a panoramic sweep over the woodlands, and the park carries distinctive arid-country flora and steady birdlife. The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Urban Landcare Group runs a community nursery and an eco and cultural education centre on site, and recent works added a nature playground, upgraded toilets and resurfaced, more accessible paths. A weekly parkrun keeps locals moving through it.
