Forty-plus years into glassblowing, Keith Rowe runs his Blackheath studio with two collaborators: Kayo Yokoyama, who engraves and enamels birds, rabbits and botanical forms onto panel works and domes, and Scott Coleman, who diamond-carves sculptural bottles. Rowe himself works in series, recently producing large murrine pieces in the Vivid Colours tradition. Tools are wooden blocks cut from fruit trees, shaped with beeswax to stop glass sticking.
