A small Barron River cruise that has been running since 1982, carrying visitors on a 45-minute loop through some of the world's most ancient tropical rainforest. The skipper narrates as you go, pointing out the history of Kuranda and the freshwater crocodiles, turtles, water dragons, snakes and tropical birds that live along the water. The jetty sits below the Kuranda Railway Station: cross the railway footbridge, follow the stairs to the river, and look for the red flags. Five tours run daily, seven days a week.
