A 1970s motel in Blackheath reworked into a design-led hotel by the family that owns it — Palm Springs curves and mid-century lines across three wings named for the Three Sisters, set on two acres around an old Japanese cherry blossom. Forty-six rooms, a sauna and a wood-fired outdoor hot tub, plus Blaq, a farm-to-table restaurant run by chef Mate Herceg. The sustainability is real and specific: linen goes to Lithgow Laundry, a disability-employment service running since 1978.
